Video Transcript:

Hi my name’s Jonathan Pierce and I sell consignment resale out of this building right behind me called The Tulsa Shed Shop. The Shed Shop is an antique shop in Tulsa that’s always offering a unique mix of items. In this video, I’m going to show you some of the most interesting antiques that have come through the shop. So stay tuned.

Sometimes the coolest stuff is in the most random places. At least that’s the case at The Tulsa Shed Shop. Furniture, electronics, tools. In our business we run across a little bit of everything and post it all for sale at The place is so unique we decided it needed its own show. So we threw a stage in front of it to find out what would happen. This is Tulsa Shed Shop.

Alright so I’m gonna show you some pictures of some of the unique antique items that we’ve had come in and if at any point in the video you want to see what we’re selling on our website now, just click that link on the bottom left hand corner where it says That’s actually a live link you can click on and it will show you all the new items that we have available right now.

So the first item is this TV cabinet. All the guts were out of it and the previous owner was using it as something to put their TV on top of, but it definitely has that cool look. Here was an accordion that came in. It seemed like it was something that was built in a shop in New York but a musician ended up coming and buying this just to learn how to play the accordion. He was going to try and learn on this. I never did fully find out what this was it had Bell System on it. I thought maybe would be related to Southwestern Bell. But those two white things that look like knobs were actually little glass containers that looked like liquid belonged in them. And then you had the centerpiece there that maybe acted as some kind of giant syringe of some kind but this was a total mystery.

And here’s a Singer sewing machine. I’ve had a few different sewing machines come in. This one happened to be that stereotypical style and the color black that a lot of people tend to look for. I’ve had a variety of roll top desks come through and one thing I’ve learned about these is, thankfully, that they all come apart. Typically the top comes off and then you have it in manageable pieces so it’s always easy to move. This was a Western Union telegraph printer and it looks like this is what the employee of Western Union would use when you would need to send a telegraph, and it also had cables on it like the old operators would use to patch calls. So this really was a cool item to get in and see in person.

And this is actually a radio and from what I read, Beamascope was a type of antenna. It was kind of a new technology at that time. And in that picture there they are advertising it as something you can take on a plane, or in the car, or on a train. So this was basically an iPod. And then here are some hand tools, I had a hand drill, and a wood clamp, and then just a lot of miscellaneous pieces. And there’s a whole group of people out there that are always looking for older style tools just to collect them.

So those are the kinds of items we get in all the time and if you want to have first dibs on what comes in the shop, just sign up for the email list at the top of the website and that will make sure you get notified when the new items come in. We can also ship any item, so you can always contact us for a shipping quote on any item as well.
